Star of the North Counseling

Starting counseling can be scary. I strive to help you feel comfortable from the very beginning. When you're comfortable, the trust and honesty needed for the counseling process to be most successful start to build so I can help you find the path to your truest self. I practice from an eclectic perspective which includes ideas from Gestalt (increasing a person's awareness, freedom, and self-direction), Mindfulness (awareness of one's internal states and surroundings), and Person Centered (empathetic understanding, congruence, and unconditional positive regard). I primarily treat individuals 12 and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, chronic people pleasing, poor boundaries, codependency, and parental estrangement. I grew up in Minnesota (The North Star State) and moved to Idaho in 2004. I graduated from Boise State University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and from Idaho State University with my Master of Counseling, Mental Health Counseling. I am licensed in the state of Idaho and have my supervisor endorsement. *****I am currently in the process of contracting with the insurance companies listed below.
